Established on July 4th 1904, the building has been known by many names; thode’s hall, trout lake hall, trout lake tourist club, doodle’s place, trout lake tavern, trout lake country inn. It’s had many forms and functions including silent movie theater, hand set bowling alley, dance hall, airplane hangar, dinner theater, bar, restaurant, and inn.
