Music Millennium is a landmark independent record store on East Burnside that opened in 1969 and is often cited as the Pacific Northwest’s oldest record store; it regularly hosts free in?store performances. Owner Terry Currier popularized the “Keep Portland Weird” slogan, and in February 2026 the shop announced plans to find a successor to carry the business forward.
