About

Sat. September 12 | 10 am + 12 pm

OMSI's quarterly workshop series will explore new or unfamiliar ways to engage with STEAM education in a classroom-like setting. Each workshop will focus on a different hands-on activity taught by a local maker with a take home item included.

The Flower Bouquet workshop with Fruits of Orange will go through the steps of processing flowers, arranging flowers, and wrapping them up. We'll chat about the purpose and name of each flower, as well as the structure of making a hand-tied flower bouquet. Vases are not included with the workshop but each guest is welcome to bring one from home if they wish to hydrate their flowers immediately after finishing their bouquet.

Workshops are a casual maker series, recommended for ages 16 and over.

$55 per person | Members receive 15% off

Each ticket includes General Admission to the Museum and flowers needed for the bouquet. Floral snips will be provided but are not included in the take-home materials. Recommended for ages 16+.

Lexie Criscola is a local event-based florist who prioritizes foam free designs, locally grown flowers, and seasonal flowers. She teaches beginner friendly flower arranging classes across the Portland Metro Area as a way to encourage people to try new things and build community.
