Born Britni Hamrick, Zoh Amba is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and with David Murray. John Zorn produced Amba’s debut album O, Sun (Tzadik, 2022), and subsequent releases include O Life, O Light Vol. 1 (577 Records, 2024) and Sun (Smalltown Supersound, 2025). Amba has been profiled in outlets such as The New York Times and The Guardian and has played notable venues and festivals including Roulette, Vision Festival and Big Ears.
