rice is a Minneapolis–Saint Paul trio formed in 2016 that composes immersive, timbre-focused music using analog synths, acoustic instruments, and experimental techniques. Their releases include At Least a Pound (self-released, 2023) and the label debut It Ain't Coca-Cola (2024); they perform regionally (including shows at Icehouse) and emphasize gradual, minimalist compositional processes.
