About
Founded by vocalist Kris Kirkman and guitarist Zach Hinkelman in 1999, Purusa is a Portland-based rock band that built a regional following across the West Coast. After a long hiatus they reunited in 2014 and released the shelved album Repair; the single “Breaking Down” charted on FMQB in 2016. The band released the full-length Amnesia in 2019 and has worked with producer Ken Stringfellow on recent material.
