Formed in 1999 by Ross Markonish and Will Broadbent with Ed Cunningham joining as bassist/vocalist, Ogre released its debut Dawn of the Proto-Man in 2003 and later signed to Japan’s Leaf Hound Records. The band announced a 2009 farewell but reunited for shows in 2012 and has since released further albums including The Last Neanderthal (2014) and Thrice as Strong (2019).
