J. Roddy Walston is the singer/pianist who led J. Roddy Walston & The Business, a band formed in 2002 that built a reputation for intense live shows and his pounding piano style. The group signed to Vagrant (circa 2009) and later ATO Records (announced 2013), released multiple albums and toured widely before announcing they would step away at the end of 2019. Walston has continued performing and releasing music as a solo artist since the band's dissolution.
