There isn't anything about me that doesn't come directly across through my lyrics and art form. I use the pen to both define myself and chart my personal journey. Get a lot of questions about the name, BIOLOGY, what's that all about? BIOLOGY - is the study of life, I use these lyrics and this music as my approach to this study with a twist of hip hop flavor. I hate hearing that Hip Hop is too violent and degrades this and that, yo this is art imitating life man, if that's what you live then that's what you speak. Born and bred east coast, Brooklyn, NY; but home is where the heart is, that includes SC, and TX. Shouts to FORT GREENE, BED-STUY, BROWNSVILLE, OCEANHILL & FLATBUSH. NYC WHAT UP!?! The inspiration comes from various sources. My love for writing in general coupled with the power that accompanies effective word structures is in itself enough to inspire. Hip Hop artists that display a wide range and variety of talent are all sources of inspiration and possibly role models to fashion oneself after, while maintaining my necessary individuality. The usual suspects are of course your Nas, Jay-Z (from both the lyrical and business side of the art), Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Common, artists that are all capable of stepping out of the proverbial box while also able to flip and rock mainstream listeners.
